The tables are often at the heart of a charity dinner.
They’re where guests spend much of the evening, enjoy their meal, catch up with other attendees and come together in support of the cause.
For the recent Stephen Moylan Foundation charity event at the Pillo Hotel, Table Art Ireland helped create a coordinated event setting with tablecloths, centrepieces, chair covers and sashes, alongside draping and a Luxe Booth elsewhere in the venue.
Creating a Consistent Look Across the Room
When styling a large dining space, consistency makes a significant difference.
Starting with the tablecloths created a clean foundation across the room before the decorative elements were introduced.
Our event centrepieces then became the focal point of each table, adding height and interest throughout the dining area.
Rather than viewing each table individually, the aim is always to consider how the centrepieces will look when repeated across the entire room.
Don’t Forget the Chairs
The tables aren’t the only element guests see when they enter a dining space.
Chair covers and sashes helped complete the overall setup for the Stephen Moylan Foundation event, coordinating the seating with the dressed tables and surrounding décor.
Small repeated details like these can have a surprisingly large visual impact when seen across a full function room.
Styling Beyond the Tables
Although table styling was an important part of the design, the surrounding environment also needed to complement it.
Draping helped provide a polished backdrop around the event space, allowing the tables and centrepieces to stand out against a consistent background.

Adding to the Guest Experience
The evening also included a Luxe Booth, giving guests somewhere to take photographs and enjoy an interactive element away from their tables.
