The prestigious Round Room at Dublin’s Mansion House provided the perfect setting for the CIPD HR Awards — one of Ireland’s most respected corporate events. With such a high-profile audience, the brief was clear: create a visually impactful environment that balanced elegance, innovation, and atmosphere.
A Collaborative Event Design
Working alongside Real Events and Table Art, we delivered bespoke centrepieces with integrated DMX lighting. The aim was to create a cohesive look that evolved throughout the evening.
Each of the star globe centrepieces Dublin featured layered star elements arranged in a globe shape. The structures were mounted on clear stems, allowing light to travel through them. This created a floating effect across every table.
The centrepieces worked in harmony with overhead rigging and a starcloth ceiling. Together, they built a fully immersive environment.

The real impact, however, came from the DMX lighting integration. Each centrepiece was individually controllable, allowing us to synchronise colours across all tables. During guest arrival, vibrant tones of pink, teal, and purple created energy and anticipation. As the evening transitioned into the awards ceremony, the lighting shifted to deeper blues and cooler tones, enhancing the formality of the occasion.
This dynamic lighting approach ensured the room evolved throughout the event — not just visually, but emotionally. Guests experienced a clear progression from reception to dinner to awards, all guided subtly through lighting design.

Importantly, the centrepieces were designed with both aesthetics and practicality in mind. Their height added drama without obstructing sightlines across the room, while integrated pin spots provided soft table illumination that enhanced place settings without overpowering them.
The result was a cohesive, immersive environment that respected the historic grandeur of the Mansion House while introducing a contemporary production edge. From every angle, the room felt alive with light and movement.
For brands and event organisers, this project highlights how star globe centrepieces in Dublin can go far beyond décor — becoming a key part of the overall production design and guest experience.
